Most of Social Toolkit runs entirely on your phone. Your photos, videos, documents and phone numbers are never uploaded. Four things do leave your device, and this page names each one, says who receives it, and tells you how to stop it.
There is no sign-in and no profile. The app does create an anonymous identifier so we can count how many people use it — that identifier is not linked to your name, your number or your Google account.
What never leaves your phone
None of the following is ever uploaded, and we have no way to see any of it:
- The statuses you save, and the folder they came from.
- The photos and videos you compress, and the compressed copies.
- The profile photo you edit in DP Enhancer.
- The pages you scan and the PDF built from them.
- The phone numbers you type, and your recent-numbers list.
- Your contacts, your messages, and the contents of any chat.
Every one of those tools does its work on the device, using the phone's own processor. They keep working with no connection at all.
What leaves your phone
Four things, and nothing else.
This is the one tool that sends you something written elsewhere. The few keywords you enter and the tone you pick are sent to our server, which passes them to OpenAI to write the lines. Nothing else goes with them — not your anonymous identifier, not your device, not anything you have typed anywhere else in the app.
Treat those keywords as public: do not put a phone number, an address or anything private into that box. If you are offline, or if the daily limit has been reached, the tool falls back to lines stored inside the app and sends nothing.
To avoid it entirely: do not use Bio Generator. Every other tool works without it.
We record which tool you opened, that a tool finished its job, which screens you visited, whether you granted folder access, and your theme choice. These carry the fixed name of the tool and nothing you typed. They go to Google Firebase Analytics and to Meta, whose measurement tools we use to understand which adverts bring people to the app.
Alongside them we store one small record: an anonymous identifier, the date you first opened the app, the last date you used it, that you are on Android, the app version, and your country. No phone number, no file name, no file path, and no file ever appears in any of it.
To limit it: turn off ad personalisation in Android settings, or write to us using the address below and we will delete the record for your identifier.
When adverts are switched on, they come from Google AdMob. To serve them Google may process your device's advertising identifier, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, and basic device information. Google's use of that data is covered by its own privacy notice, not this one.
To limit it: reset or delete the advertising identifier in Android settings, or turn off ad personalisation there.
If you agree to notifications, your device is given a delivery token so we can send an occasional message about a new tool. The token identifies the installation, not you. Decline and no token is created.
To stop it: turn notifications off in Settings inside the app, or in Android's notification settings.
The app also downloads its own settings — which tools to show and whether adverts are on. That is a download only; nothing about you is sent to fetch it.
Doc Scanner and Google Play services
Scanning uses the document scanner built into Google Play services. The camera is opened by Google's own screen, which is why this app never asks you for camera permission and never has access to your camera. Google's scanner passes back only the pages you actually scanned, and the app turns them into a PDF on your device.
The first scan on a new phone downloads the scanner component from Google, so it needs a connection once. After that it works offline.
What stays on your phone
Stored locally so the app behaves the way you expect:
- The last numbers you opened a chat with, so they appear under Recent.
- Bio lines you chose to keep.
- Your settings: theme, notification choice and compression preference.
- The folder you granted access to, so you are not asked every time.
- Files you saved, compressed or scanned, in the Toolkit folder.
Clearing the app data or uninstalling removes all of it. Files you saved to the Toolkit folder stay there until you delete them yourself — the app does not take your files with it when it goes.
Permissions
Android asks you to select the statuses folder yourself. We read that one folder and nothing else, and we never edit or delete anything in it. You can withdraw it in Settings or in Android's own screen; the other tools keep working without it.
You pick files through Android's own picker. The app receives only what you selected and has no access to the rest of your gallery.
Never asked on first launch. We ask once, after you have finished something, and if you say no we do not ask again.
Used for the four things listed above, and for the one-off scanner download. Direct Chat, Status Saver, Image Compressor, Video Compressor, DP Enhancer and Doc Scanner all work with no connection.
No camera permission. No contacts. No location. No all-files access — the app cannot browse your storage, and Android would not let it even if it tried.
Who receives data
- Google — Firebase for the anonymous record, usage events and notifications; AdMob for adverts; Play services for the document scanner.
- Meta Platforms — app usage events used to measure advertising. Your device's advertising identifier is not shared with Meta; we switched that collection off.
- OpenAI — only the keywords and tone you enter in Bio Generator, and only when you use it.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the three above.
Crash reports
If the app closes unexpectedly, Google Play may send an anonymous report with the device model, Android version and the place in the code where it failed. These contain no personal information and no file contents.
Children
The app is not designed for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Keeping and deleting data
The anonymous record is kept while you have the app installed. Usage events are held by Google and Meta under their own retention periods. Bio Generator keywords are passed to OpenAI to answer the request and are not stored by us afterwards.
Uninstalling removes everything on the device. To have the anonymous record deleted from our side as well, write to the address below — you do not need an account, and we will not ask you to prove anything, because there is nothing to prove.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new version appears here. For any question about privacy, or to ask us to delete your record, write to honeyworldtechnology@gmail.com and we will reply within seven days.
